The Madison River is about a 1 hour drive from Livingston and boasts an abundance of fly-fishing opportunities. The Madison offers abundant hatches of stoneflies, midges, mayflies and caddis and can allow anglers to hone-in on pods of rising fish. Fishing is typically done from a boat, and days are commonly spent nymphing however dry fly fishing and streamer fishing are very productive. With runoff season be less severe on the Madison River, it allows anglers to seek float-style fishing in May and June while the Yellowstone is running big!

Summer season is June through august with a short runoff period in late May early June
